We are thousands of your neighbors. We came together just after the Village incorporation. An attempt to defeat the incorporation was waged by a local developer, but they were unsuccessful. Enter the Village of Campton Hills. We have spent nearly two years and thousands of our hard-earned dollars. Initiating and defending a people’s dissolution referendum, which is on the Nov. 4th ballot. We have no special interest and are bipartisan. Many of our members are multi-generational families that have a long history in the community, and have watched as their community has grown and changed under the direction of Kane County and Campton Twp. The original group was started by the late Carmen Julian along with Steve Burdette and Chris Baldwin. Currently Campton the Promise is under the leadership of Susan Secondi and Jim Murray. It is only with the dozens of dedicated, devoted volunteers in our core group that we have experienced success in telling the rest of the story. |
