Where's Wasco

The hamlet of Wasco existed until 2007; once the Village incorporated, it vanished.   Wasco disappeared off the Official State of Illinois Road Map.   Although there is a US Post office, zip code of 60183, and the  green Wasco sign still welcomes you on Route 64.  Wasco has  disappeared; it’s been replace by Village of Campton Hills.

But to maintain that rural feel and lifestyle the long time  residents have come to love, the spirit of Wasco remains in our Comprehensive Plan,  and on Route 64.

Campton Hills has been created using Homer Glen as a model, with that being said Wasco has disappeared just like Gooding’s Grove did.

When the Village of Homer Glen incorporated in 2001, Gooding’s Grove disappeared too.  What remains?

Good bye. Wasco
